Two Policemen Deployed at Netravathi Bridge: Click to Know Why

August 18:Following several suicides acts from Nethravathi bridge, Police have deployed two officers at the bridge on Saturday to prevent people from committing such acts.
After Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) founder V G Siddhartha, had jumped to his death from the Nethravathi bridge, three more people had jumped off the bridge to commit suicide. The decision to deploy policemen at the bridge came after Sadashiva (29) from Kadaba jumped from the bridge on Friday night. Sadashiva’s body is not yet traced.
Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, had urged the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) to install CCTV cameras and intensify police patrolling, to prevent suicidal deaths.
