Udupi District SP Hakay Akshay Cautions Public About Cyber Frauds: Requests to Report Within Golden Hour Period

District Superintendent of Police Hakay Akshay Machindra has cautioned the public about cyber frauds and requested the members of the public to report such incidences within the golden hour period.

The SP mentioned that the people will be in doubt in cyber crime cases as to whom to report and how to report incidents. There is a concept called Golden Hour principle when it comes to cyber crimes. Share the details of the incident as soon as the crime happens to immediately block the transactions and secure the money. Victims should inform the National cyber crime reporting portal website immediately in cases of cyber frauds. Accounts of both the customer and the fraudsters will be freezed within no time. This is called golden hour.
