Union Minister Gadkari to lay foundation for Kulai fishing jetty!

(MP) Nalin Kumar Kateel informed that the foundation stone will be laid for fishing jetty at Kulai and several road development works under Sagarmala and Bharathmala project on March 5 at Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary hall, New Mangalore port Panumbur   by Nitin Gadkari, union minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping through video conference.

Along with this Foundation stone will be laid for construction of Mangaluru bypass (linking towns Mulky – Kinnigoli – Kateel – Bajpe – Kaikamba – Polali – Addur – Kalpane – BC Road – Melkar – Konaje – Thokkotu) of NH 66 covering a distance of 91.20 km with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore, four-lane of Sannur junction to Bikarnakatte section of NH 169 covering a distance of 45.01 km with an investment of Rs 1,163 crore, and construction of new six lane major bridge across Phalguni river at Kulur Mangaluru costing Rs 65 crore.

He also mentioned that he has done his best by bringing  funds for development of various projects during his ten year  tenure as MP.  Administrative approval has been secured for a Coconut Park at Bantwal,  Plastic Park, Central School at NITK and Coast Guard Training Centre.
Along with this there is also a plan to set up a Special Agricultural Zone  for Puttur, Sullia and Belthangady, he added.
