Vedavyas Kamath To Contest From Mangalore South: Congress Yet to Announce The Candidate

BJP Karnataka has released a list of 189 candidates for the state assembly elections. The list includes all the eight constituencies of Dakshina Kannada and four constituencies in Udupi district.

In the three constituencies of Mangalore, the incumbents Vedavyasa Kamath and Dr. Bharat Y. Shetty secured the tickets again for Mangaluru South and North, respectively. State Minister Angara from the Sullia constituency and Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor have been dropped, and in their place, Bagirathi Murulya and Asha Thimmappa will contest the polls in their respective constituencies. I For Mangaluru constituency (Ullal), Satish Kumpala will contest the seat, which is the sole Congress constituency held by MLA U. T. Khadar. Harish Poonja will continue in Belthangady and Umanath Kotian in Mudabidri constituency.
