Vehicles stopped on Zebra crossing to be fined!

Mangaluru’s new city police commissioner Sandeep Patil has brought in  rules and regulations in the city to make lives of the citizens easier. One such such new rule is to take action against vehicles stopping on the zebra crossing at signal when the red light is on.

He mentioned that it has come to his notice that  vehicles are stopped by the users on zebra crossing which is meant for the pedestrians for crossing. This affects the pedestrians while crossing, especially the elders & the women.

Henceforth the vehicles which are stooped on zebra crossing during red light will be fined.  The police has even decided to repaint the zebra crossing at nanthoor, KPT and few other locations for visibility at night.
