Voting without fear: Workshop by Coast Guard for service voters

March 28: A workshop was conducted by Coast Guard (Karnataka) on Thursday to ensure error-free voting by voters registered under the ‘Service Voters’ scheme.
The workshop on theme ‘No Voters Left Behind – Accessible Elections’, was also organised to push voters to exercise their franchise with confidence.
A live demonstration on electronic voting machines (EVMs) and VVPATs was conducted under the guidance of Dr Selvamani, chief executive officer of the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat. During the workshop, team of election officers informed the participants about the functioning of the ballot units, control units and other allied functions and operations of the EVMS.
The event was coordinated by Deputy Commandant Deepika Dhiman and assisted by Assistant Commandant Neha Barange.  The workshop concluded with a determination by everyone to participate in the electoral process.
