Water Disrupted in Several Areas of Mangalore City: Mayor Directs Officials to Ensure Proper Water Supply

Newly elected Mangalore City Mayor Jayanand Anchan chaired a meeting on Tuesday to discuss issues related to drinking water supply in few areas in Mangalore City Corporation limits. Corporators of ward number 25, 27, 28, 41, 43, 44 and 45 complained that several houses were not getting uninterrupted water supply. The corporators said water supply is disrupted in Hat Hill, Subhash Nagar, Bunder, Pachanady, Boloor, Kudroli, Ashok Nagar, Hoige Bazar and other areas. Many pointed out that the pipelines are damaged and water leakage leads to disruption in supply.

The mayor directed engineers of the respective wards to address their problems at the earliest. He also directed engineers of all wards to visit the pumphouses and ensure water supply is not disrupted.
