Water supply to Mangalore will be stopped for 72 hours

May 13: The water-level at Thumbe vented dam is decreasing to 3.95 metres due to which the Mangalore City Corporation has revised water rationing system.
As per the new rationing system, water supply will be stopped for 72 hours from Monday, May 13. The water supply will resume from May 16 and will continue for 96 hours, to all the 60 wards. The new rationing system will be implemented till June 1 and is done to ensure that water is sufficient to supply till the first week of June.
The officials have appealed to the people to use water judiciously and not to use it for washing cars and watering plants.
