Wenlock District Hospital is All Set to Celebrate 175 Years of Service: Celebrations to be Held Soon

The Wenlock District Hospital, which was founded in 1848 by the British, is all set to celebrate 175 years of service. District surgeon and medical superintendent of Wenlock Hospital, Dr Sadashiva Shanbhag, said that a committee will be formed to plan for the 175th anniversary of the hospital. He said a discussion will be held with health and family welfare minister Dinesh Gundurao, to decide about the celebration.

The hospital will soon open the new surgical block with 12 operation theatres, ahead of the 175th anniversary celebrations. Mangalore Smart City Limited (MSCL) will have 12 operation theatres, including 10 modular and two emergency OTs, and 245 beds.
