March 5: To Bring a boost to Tourism sector, Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project has proposed the plan to start scuba diving activity at Panambur beach and is awaiting clearance from the district administration.
Under scuba diving, one gets to experience the unique visuals under deep sea water and this is likely to be started at Panambur beach.
There is great potential for scuba diving in the seas around Mangalore including exploration of underwater wreckage of sunken ships. Along with this, the rich and unique aquatic animals found in the water around Mangalore can also attract foreign divers for research as well as recreation. Scuba diving has already been started at Kaup beach.
