Woman killed by a speeding car

April 16: A 55 year woman lost her life when she was run over by a speeding car at Adyar Somanathakatte on April 15, Monday morning.  She was with two others when the incident occurred. The deceased woman has been identified as Meenakshi, while the injured are Gauthami (22) and Geetha (50).
The three women had attended the fair of Adyar temple and were going to  a relative’s house. They were walking alongside the highway at around 2 am to when a speeding car knocked them down.  Sources say that said  that the accident took place as the driver of the car lost control over the vehicle.
