Workshop on Film Making to be Held in Udupi For The First Time: Here Are The Details

January 7: Rangabhoomi, a theatre group in Udupi along with Pune-based Institute of Film and Video Technology, will organise a 10-day film-making workshop from January 7, Tuesday.
This kind of workshop on film making is happening for the first time in Udupi. Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, professors and Bollywood professionals will be resource persons at the workshop. The morning session will be conducted at Hindi Prachar Samithi Building, Udupi (9 am to 1 pm) and the evening session will be held at Nutana Ravindra Mantapa, MGM College, Udupi (from 5 pm to 9 pm).
During the workshop, resource persons will talk on the history of cinema, screen play writing, budgeting, production management, electronic cinematography, acting, film direction, editing, digital marketing, censorship, promotion, publicity and other aspects of film-making.
Participants can opt for any one venue convenient to them by paying Rs 5ooo.  Limited seats available. Participants will be awarded with certificate on January 16.
M K Shankar, faculty at Institute of Film and Video Technology, Pune, said participants will learn all major stages of professional film-making, including scriptwriting, crafting a story, video shooting and editing during the workshop. Faculty at FTII, Pune Prasantanu Mahapatra, Television serial director,  Brijesh Ghosh, graduate from FTII, Pune, P N Ramchandra will be the resource persons. He added that all attempts will be made to help participants equip themselves with film-making techniques.
