Yakshagana promotes awareness on Voting.

March 29: The election Commission is trying out various approaches to reach the people and promote awareness on Voting. SVEEP in Udupi district has come up with this idea of promoting voter awareness through Yakshagana. SVEEP will organize more such stage shows & events. Videos & jingles on Yakshagana will be played to ensure good voter turnout.
Prakash Mugebettu a yakshagana artist has appealed to the public to come out & vote. Sindhu B Roopesh, CEO of Zilla Panchayat said that there are jingles in many languages including Tulu. These jingles will be aired on radio, waste collecting vehicles & even during plays. The motive of this is to increase the voter turnout percentage compared to last year.
