Youth steals valuables from aunt for his lavish lifestyle

April 12: Police has arrested a youth for stealing valuables worth 1.8 lakhs for financing his lavish lifestyle in Moodbidri. The accused has been identified as Sooraj (20). He has been arrested within 24 hours from the report of the theft and the police have recovered all the valuables from him.
Anand, a resident of Maroor, had filed a complaint on April  8 that valuables kept in the house locker were stolen. When police investigated the case, they learnt that the Sooraj happens to Anand’s wife’s nephew. Sooraj used to frequently visit Anand’s house and was aware about the valuables kept in the locker. While interrogating Sooraj, he confessed the crime and told the police that he had stolen the valuables, and pledged it in a cooperative bank to fund his lavish lifestyle.
