Children stabbed at Shaktinagar for playing

May 6:  Two children who were playing in front of their house, were stabbed by a man. The incident too place at Preethi Nagara near Shaktinagara in Mangalore. The injured children have been identified as Hardik (4) and Chirag (9). They are recovering at a hospital.
The accused has been identified as Devaraj alias Annu (40), and is arrested by police for stabbing the children. The accused attacked and stabbed the children when they were playing in front of their house. It is said that Devaraj  was disturbed and irritated by their game, so thus attacked them.
Sources said that Devaraj was mentally ill and also an alcoholic. He has been produced before the magistrate by the police, and is remanded to judicial custody.
