The Mangalore International Airport, stated that international flight operations at the airport have been impacted due to the closure of airspace in the Middle East. Hence, the passengers are requested to check the status of their flights with the respective airlines before arriving at the airport.
International flights — four arriving and two departing — were cancelled at the airport on Tuesday. IndiGo cancelled flight No. 6E 1437 (Abu Dhabi-Mangalore) and flight No. 6E 1468 (Dubai-Mangalore), the Air India Express cancelled flight No. IX 832 (Dubai-Mangalore) and flight No. IX 886 (Dammam-Mangalore). In addition, Air India Express cancelled its two departing flights – IX 885 (Mangalore-Dammam) and IX 831 (Mangalore-Dubai).
The airport said that a domestic flight, IndiGo flight No. 6E 6523 (Mangalore-Mumbai), was cancelled due to operational reasons.
