Notices for traffic offences, namely over-speeding, driving without seat belt, jumping traffic signal and riding without helmet have been sent by post to vehicle owners. These offences were captured by specialised cameras installed by Mangalore Smart City Limited. Notices were also sent based on violations captured by traffic police personnel on their mobile phones.
Many have not paid the fine amount mentioned in the notice. If the owners fail to pay the fine by July 15, the police will file chargesheet in these cases and they will be summoned by the jurisdictional courts.
