:MESCOM issued a public advisory on Monday urging people in its jurisdiction to exercise caution around its electrical infrastructure. It appealed to the public not to touch snapped power lines, electric poles or other electrical installations under any circumstances. It warned against tying animals to electric poles or using electrical infrastructure for drying clothes, citing serious safety risks.
It requested the public to immediately report any potential electrical hazard or accident risk by calling the 24×7 customer helpline at 1912, sending a WhatsApp message to 9483041912, or by using the ‘Nanna MESCOM’ mobile app.
