Plans to install CCTV camera at Netravati bridge: MLA Vedavyas Kamath

August 2: There are plans to incorporate CCTV to Netravati Bridge or Ulawala Bridge which will be prominently on the road from Mangalore to Ullal. Mangalore City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath said he would consult with the District Collector.
The Netravati Bridge has become an increasingly dangerous place in the recent past. This leads to unpleasant events, such as suicide. Installation of CCTV cameras will facilitate immediate inspection of accidents on the bridge. Checking CCTV footage is not a waste of time and effort for the District and Police Department. CCTV cameras can be helpful to the victims’ households, friends as well as the police officers investigating the cases. MLA Kamath said that the action would be taken in view of the installation of CCTV cameras in order to facilitate the investigation of the police department.
