This is why Noojibalthila residents threaten to boycott election

April 1: The residents of Noojibalthila village in Uppinangady have decided to boycott the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The villagers have been demanding repair of the road in Noojibalthila for the last several years. They complained that in spite of the promise, the mud road has not been developed. Over 100 families are dependent on the six-kilometre mud road which turns into a slush field during monsoon, while in summer, the dust emanating from the road inconveniences the pedestrians.
The residents had decided not to withdraw their decision to boycott Assembly election until their demands are met.
The residents of Madyadka Janata Colony at Kodimbala village in Kadaba too have decided to boycott election. They have mounted a banner informing the officials and political parties of boycotting of election. In the banner, the villagers have demanded concrete roads, drains and to solve the row over electricity connections. They have also demanded  waiving of pending water bills.
