The Pilikula Development Authority has organised a two-day fruit fair from June 14, Saturday, to provide direct marketing facility to farmers and producers. The fruit and jackfruit fair would be conducted at the Urban Haath at Dr. K. Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Farmers, producers, members of self-help groups and other associations from Dakshina Kannada as well as from different parts of the State would participate in the fair. Locally grown fruits, including jackfruit, mango, and other fruits, food items and juices made of fruits, medicinal plants, fruit saplings, organic vegetable seeds, home products etc., would be for sale at the fair.
