Several parts of coastal districts experienced heavy rainfall on July 6, Sunday. The IMD has issued yellow alert along the region till July 10 forecasting continued heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
As a precautionary measure 15 SDRF personnel & 10 civil defense personnel are stationed in Mangalore while 25 NDRF personnel have been deployed n Puttur. A total 26 rescue boats are on standby in the areas.
