The 12th annual Cartoon Habba of well known cartoonist Satish Acharya this year will be held at Rotary Kalamandira in Kundapura of Udupi district from November 15 to November 19. This year the Cartoon Habba is titled ‘Khaki Cartoon Habba’, wherein focus is on showing the human face of policemen. The event, is organised in association with the Udupi district police.
For the 12th year of the festival, Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar proposed holding of the event for policemen. Art inclined policemen from each station will be attending workshop on November 16. The workshop will be between 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Along with cartoon exhibition, there will be live caricature show on the three days.
The programme will be inaugurated by Director General of Prisons B. Dayanand on November 15. There will be felicitation of 10 best performing officers and police personnel. There will be two-hour interactive programme with parents named “Nimma Makkalannu Rakshisikolli”.
