To prevent road accidents caused by traffic rule violations across the Dakshina Kannada district, the police department has installed surveillance cameras at prominent locations. In the first phase, cameras have been installed in key areas under the limits of the Vittal, Uppinangady, Sullia, and Bantwal rural police stations.
These cameras have started operating on Thursday, July 23. The police will nlw be able to closely monitor and detect traffic rule violations through these cameras. Official notices will be directly issued to the registered owners of the vehicles found violating the traffic regulations.
