H.V. Darshan took charge as the 134th Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada: Outgoing Deputy Commissioner M.P. Mullai Muhilan handed over the charge to him. Earlier, Mr. Darshan served as the Additional Commissioner of Commerical Taxes, Bangalore.
New DC Darshan K V has said that his immediate focus will be on assessing the recent rain damage, ensuring preventive measures, and continuing effective governance in Dakshina Kannada district.. Addressing the ongoing monsoon situation, he said, the immediate priority is to assess the impact of recent rains, review the damages, identify vulnerable houses, and take all necessary preventive measures.
The New DC hails from Chitradurga and has served as a probationary officer in Raichur, assistant commissioner at Sagar sub-division, ZP CEO in Kolar and Belagavi districts, corporation commissioner in Tumakuru, director of IT and BT in the Department of Electronics in Bengaluru, and additional commissioner for commercial tax.
