The Bengaluru to Mangalore side of the 2.1 km long Kalladka flyover on the National Highway 75 will be open to traffic from June 2. Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta said that the two-lane vehicular underpasses at Mani and Uppinangady on the same highway will be opened for traffic.
Considering the early arrival of monsoon in the Dakshina Kannada district, people are facing difficulty in travelling on the Bengaluru-Mangalore section of NH-75 due to the ongoing four-lane project. For the convenience of people, the matter has been taken up with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to throw open the critical points for traffic.
